A "Seven Wonders of The Web" Honoree - March 28, 1996
About Tim Vega
Tim Vega has been one of the principal artists working around the New York club scene for six or seven
years now. His ubiquitous work for Blues Traveler, the Spin Doctors, Xanax 25, Wetlands Preserve, and
many other bands and clubs is as easily identified with the local scene as John Popper's harp virtuosity or
Chris Barron's scatted neo-classical lyrics.
More than that, Tim's mere presence is everywhere to be found. A large man, he works nowadays as
Wetlands' doorman, and, back in the day, he was a Wetlands/Nightingale Bar regular, just the same
as dozens of others lucky enough to have seen the scene grow. He designed the Blues Traveler logo.
He has done dozens of t-shirt designs and posters for local bands and clubs. He even painted the
bathrooms at Wetlands! - Dan Levy
