| Stuttgart, 20th of March. Mercedes-Benz has developed an economical alternative to the automatic gearbox for the A-class - the automatic clutch. The driver removes his foot from the gas pedal and then moves the gear stick. | The system recognises that the driver wants to change gear and instantly activates the clutch. The A-class is available with a five-speed gearbox and on request, with the automatic clutch as well or in the five-speed automatic variety. | |
